01

Recover your past journeys

Start with booking confirmations and boarding passes. Record the date, departure airport, arrival airport and airline. If an old detail is uncertain, leave it blank rather than guessing.

02

Record each leg separately

A journey with a connection contains multiple flight legs. Keep each departure and arrival pair as its own entry so you can reconstruct routes without confusing connections with destinations you explored.

03

Read distance figures with context

Straight-line airport distance is an estimate, not the exact path an aircraft flew. Weather and routing can change the actual distance. Use your log to compare your own journeys with a consistent method.

04

Make a small post-flight habit

After landing, add the flight while the details are easy to find. Keep booking references and boarding-pass barcodes out of public screenshots. Your public route map does not need private reservation details.
